PM Modi Inaugurates Long-Awaited Ganga Expressway
Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the Ganga Expressway on Wednesday, April 29. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several ministers were present at the event.
A 594-km High-Speed Corridor
The expressway runs 594 kilometres from Meerut to Prayagraj. It is one of the longest high-speed road corridors in the state.
More Than Just a Road
The project is expected to be a game-changer for Uttar Pradesh. It will strengthen connectivity along with industrial investment, farm marketing, and logistics.
Regional development and economic balance are also key goals of this corridor. Defence aircraft can land on it during emergencies, adding a strategic dimension.
